JV boys lacrosse tops Falmouth in overtime

The junior varsity boys lacrosse team got its season started on the right foot Saturday afternoon with a sudden-death overtime victory at Falmouth, 5-4.


Stephen Reis tallied the game-winner a minute and half into the extra frame to lift the Whalers to their first win.


It was a slow start to the game for both teams.


“The game wasn’t the smoothest lacrosse game. There weren’t that many whistles, but there were a lot of ground balls and unsettled lacrosse,” head coach Mark Latter said.
