(Oct. 15, 2009) It was open season on Wildcats Friday afternoon on Nantucket. The varsity football team preyed on the visiting West Bridgewater offense, tearing away five turnovers en route to a 26-6 victory.

Four first-half turnovers and a number of key plays gave the Whalers a 20-0 edge going into the locker room at halftime. The Wildcats were up against the clock the entire second half and could not overcome their own mistakes.

The victory was the second straight for Nantucket, which improved to 3-2 overall on the season and 3-1 in the Mayflower Small.
