The boys varsity basketball team netted a pair of convincing Lighthouse Conference wins this week to even their record at 4-4 on the season.

Playing three home games in three straight days this week didn’t faze the girls varsity basketball team one bit, as it won all three and improved its record to 7-1 on the season.

Josh Butler sent the opening tip to Hakeem Lecky, who dished the ball to Jordan Beans cutting toward the basket for a quick layup, and the Whalers never looked back.

Evie O’Connor scored the game-tying and game-winning baskets in the final minute of the girls varsity basketball team’s 53-52 win at Norfolk Aggie on Saturday.

The boys varsity basketball team fell behind early at home against the Easthampton Eagles on Saturday, and spent the rest of the game trying to pull even, ultimately losing 69-53.

12/22/05: Paterson's 25 leads girls to victory
Freshman Angela Paterson scored 25 points – including three three-pointers – in her first varsity game, as she carried the Whalers to a 56-43 win over South Shore Vocational on Saturday.
