(March 28, 2013) The varsity baseball team hopes to avoid last season’s slow start and return to the playoffs this year despite losing a number of key players to graduation.

The Whalers finished last season 7-13 after starting 1-6, but made the playoffs by virtue of their second-place finish in the Cape & Island League. They are scheduled to kick off the season Saturday, April 6 at home against Sturgis.
