The boys varsity basketball team earned a split decision at this weekend’s Cape and Islands Classic in Mashpee, taking down Upper Cape Tech Saturday behind a breakout game from Terrel Correia, and falling to a defensively superior Chatham squad Sunday.
The Whalers, now 2-3 on the season, ran into a buzz saw against Chatham, committing 24 turnovers and hauling down just 10 rebounds en route to the 76-62 loss.
