(Jan. 17, 2013) The boys varsity basketball team split a pair of league games on the road this week, beating Cape Tech 60-44 Monday night after losing 66-52 to first-place Cape Cod Academy Friday.

After starting the season predominantly on the road, the Whalers (5-4, 4-2 Cape & Islands League) now have the luxury of staying home for a while. They are scheduled to host non-league power Hull Saturday, Cape Cod Academy Monday and non-league Mashpee Wednesday.

The Whalers started slowly against Cape Tech Monday, and trailed 27-24 at the half against the winless Crusaders.
