(Feb. 21, 2013) The boys varsity basketball team fell to a powerful Hull squad 65-59 Friday on the road, and with a game to play in the regular season, had one last chance to qualify for the playoffs.
The Whalers, 8-9 overall (6-4 Cape & Islands League) were scheduled to host Hull last night, too late for the edition of Sports. A win would clinch a Div. III South tournament berth, and a loss would keep Nantucket out of the playoffs for the fourth straight year. Playoff seedings and opponents will be announced tomorrow.
