(March 28, 2013) With a core of athletically-disciplined players returning and a new head coach, the boys varsity lacrosse team is looking to turn things around this season after going 0-18 last year.

Seth Upson of West Chester County, New York, a player and coach for years, recently moved to island after accepting the job as head coach. No stranger to the Cape and islands, Upson directed a lacrosse camp last summer on Nantucket through the community school, where he “fell in love with the island.”

“The job brought me here and it is an exciting opportunity I didn’t want to pass up on. I love the sense of community here,” said Upson, who will be joined on the coaching staff by Ryan Leahy, Sam Aloisi and Mike Brown.
