(April 25, 2013) The boys varsity lacrosse team looked outstanding in an 8-0 victory over Mashpee last Thursday at home in a game that was unfortunately marred by a benchclearing brawl between the two teams.

During the melee two local men from the stands charged onto the field and allegedly threw punches, bringing an early end to the game and a response from police. It was one minute into the fourth quarter when the situation quickly turned ugly and the game was called. It began with an altercation between Nantucket’s Devin Higgins and a player from Mashpee away from the ball. When play halted players on the field began rushing toward the fight, and then both benches cleared.
