(Nov. 15, 2012) Nantucket High School football fans may want to circle the 2016 season on their calendars. That would be the year, if all goes according to plan, that the current crop of eighth-grade students who play for the undefeated Boys & Girls Club team will be seniors. And if the success that this team has had at the middle-school level can even come close to translating to high school, Whaler fans will be in for quite an entertaining year.
“For a handful of years at the club we had the (2011 Super Bowlwinning senior class) that graduated last year. Guys like Taylor Hughes, Alex Rezendes, Codie Perry, Andrew Benson. I had great rapport with those kids. They were an awesome group. They’re right there neck and neck with these guys, but to be honest with you I have to give the advantage to this team,” head coach Paul Boucher said.
