(Jan. 17, 2013) The girls varsity basketball team continued its winning ways this week, breezing past league opponents Cape Cod Tech 48-13 Monday and Cape Cod Academy 47-25 last Thursday, but falling to non-league rival Cohasset 53-28 Saturday.

The Whalers (6-3 overall, 5-1 Cape & Islands League) have a big week ahead. Nantucket was scheduled to face Monomoy Regional High School at home last night, too late for this edition of Sports, before hosting non-league Norfolk Aggie Saturday and traveling to Cape Cod Academy Monday and Mashpee Wednesday.
