(Feb. 21, 2013) The girls varsity basketball team closed out the regular season last Wednesday with a 46-27 road loss to Div. 4 South powerhouse Cohasset.

The Whalers head into the playoffs with a 12-6 record and a share of the Cape & Islands League title. Both Nantucket and Pope John Paul II finished 9-1 in league play, splitting the season series with each other. Div. 4 South playoff seedings and opponents will be announced Friday.
