Golf beats Cape Tech, continues winning ways

By Dean Geddes
I&M Staff Writer

(Sept. 20, 2012) Playing in the top two spots, junior Ronan Daly and freshman Marshall Shaffar-Roggeveen led the varsity golf team past Cape Cod Tech 32-23 last Thursday at Ocean Edge golf course.

The Whalers (3-1, 2-1 Cape & Islands League) had Tuesday’s home match against Sturgis on Tuesday postponed due to predicted high winds. Their next scheduled match is at home Friday against Pope John Paul II at the Miacomet Golf Course.

The junior varsity team is scheduled to play its first home match of the season at the Old Sconset Golf Course at the same time. The Whalers defeated the Lions 28.5-25.5 in the first match of the season.
