(May 2, 2013) The varsity softball team finally played its home opener on Saturday in a double-header against Bishop Fenwick. Unfortunately, the Whalers were outmatched against the strong Div. I opponent, losing the first game 14-3 and the second 9-1.

It was a tough task for the Whalers, who, because of rain­outs, had not played a game in 10 days, and had not faced quality in-game pitching in two weeks.
