(Jan. 31, 2013) The undefeated boys swimming and diving team moved one step closer to a conference title this week, beating league rivals Barnstable and Nauset with one meet left on the regular-season schedule.
The girls team beat Barnstable Saturday, but fell to Nauset Tuesday for their first loss of the season.
The Whalers (Boys 6-0, Girls 6-1) are scheduled to face Sandwich at home this evening to close out the dual-meet season, before heading to the Bay Colony Conference championships Sunday at Bridgewater State College.
On Tuesday, the boys handed Nauset its first loss of the season 93-77, and a win over Sandwich (5-1) today would give the Whalers sole possession of the conference title.
