(Feb. 2, 2012) The varsity swimming and diving teams fell to the Nauset Warriors Saturday at the Nantucket Community Pool, with the girls losing 95-79 and the boys coming up short 98-80.

The girls, who are now 4-2 in the Bay Colony Conference and 5-2 overall, will close out the regular season today at Taunton, before traveling to Sandwich Sunday for the BCC Championships. The boys (3-3, 3-2 BCC) will do the same, but were also scheduled to face Sandwich yesterday, too late for this edition of Sports.

“On the girls’ side, I think we really scared them,” head coach Jim Pignato said. “Nauset came into this meet a little over-confident and when we held the lead after the diving event, they started to take things a little more seriously.”
