Boys swimming beats Barnstable, but girls fall

(Dec. 30, 2009)The boys swimming and diving team is off to a quick start this season, after winning its second straight meet 86-80 last Tuesday over a strong Barnstable squad on the road. The Whaler girls didn’t fare as well, falling to Barnstable 105-62.

The teams will next be in action Friday, Jan. 8 at the Cape Cod Classic in Sandwich.

Last Tuesday, the 2-0 boys jumped out to an early lead against the Red Raiders behind a winning swim in the 200-yard medley relay by Henry Toole, Lorne Paterson, Miles Geddes and Jack Decker, fell behind by a point after the 200-yard individ ual medley, but quickly regained the lead.
