Boys soccer loses two non-league

The boys varsity soccer team tuned up on another Cape & Islands league opponent last Wednesday before falling in two out-of-League games on the road against Barnstable and Cohasset later in the week.

 

Field hockey ties Barnstable 2-2

The varsity field hockey team hosted two of the top teams on Cape Cod this week, and after tying Barnstable 2-2 last Thursday, the Whalers lost 7-0 to Dennis-Yarmouth Tuesday.

 

Girls soccer clinches playoffs

The girls varsity soccer team locked up a postseason berth with a 3-1 victory over Barnstable Friday night under the lights at Vito Capizzo Stadium, and followed it up with a 6-1 win over Cape Tech on Tuesday at home.

 

Tough road ahead for golf

The varsity golf team needed to win two of its last four matches to guarantee another trip to the sectional tournament, but the deck was stacked against them this week as they faced the toughest stretch of the schedule. The Whalers dropped a pair of matches to Div. 1 Sandwich, the best team Nantucket will face this season, and in between also lost to Mashpee.
