Softball shuts down Red Raiders

The varsity softball team opened its season Saturday with a 6-4 win against powerful Barnstable High School. The Whalers (1-0) were scheduled to host Sturgis West Tuesday, but the game was postponed due to inclement weather.


Baseball beats up on Mashpee

The varsity baseball team started the season with a bang Saturday, smacking 21 hits en route to a 17-1 shellacking of Mashpee on the road in a “mercy-rule” shortened five-inning game.


Girls lacrosse goes 1-2 on week

The girls varsity lacrosse team had a busy first full week of the season, playing three games in five days. After taking down Pope John Paul II 18-13 last Thursday at home, the Whalers fell to Martha’s Vineyard 15-9 on the road Saturday and New Bedford 20-12 Monday at home.
