(Nov. 26, 2014) The visiting Whalers hung tight with Martha’s Vineyard for the first three quarters of the 36th annual Island Cup Saturday, but the combination of quarterback Mike Mussell and receiver Jacob Cardoza was too much for Nantucket in the end. The two hooked up on a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to lead the Vineyard to its 11th straight Island Cup in a 21-7 victory.     More

The girls varsity soccer team’s season ended in heartbreaking fashion Tuesday, as Nantucket fell in a shootout to Hull in the first round of the Div. 4 South sectional playoffs.
