Sailing team starts 1-2
The Nantucket High School sailing team traveled off-island Sunday to New Bedford Yacht Club for a tri-meet against Dartmouth and Bayview.
Boys lacrosse drops two games
The boys varsity lacrosse team was overwhelmed by a powerful Martha’s Vineyard offense 19-7 Sunday on the road after falling 8-5 in a much closer and more defensive battle against Dartmouth last Wednesday.
Softball sweeps double-header
After two and a half seasons of running roughshod over the Cape & Islands League, the varsity softball team finally suffered its first loss at the hands of a league foe Monday, when the Whalers were beaten at home 11-3 by a scrappy Sturgis West team that had everything going against it.
Baseball grabs two wins
The varsity baseball team had one poor showing this week, a 15-0 loss to Mashpee Saturday, sandwiched between a pair of great outings: a 9-0 victory over Sturgis West Tuesday and an 11-4 victory over Cape Tech last Thursday.
